Kerala police nab seven Nigerian nationals in Haryana for smuggling drugs into Kerala

KOZHIKODE: Police have arrested seven foreigners, including three Nigerians, for allegedly smuggling drugs into Kerala. The arrests were made by Kozhikode Town Police and the suspects were taken into custody from Gurugram, Haryana. Drugs worth around Rs 1 crore were seized from them.

Earlier, a man from Malappuram had been caught with 778 grams of MDMA. Investigation in that case led police to the foreign nationals in Haryana. Police had intensified their probe after obtaining information about the foreigners from the suspect from Malappuram.

Police said the arrested group was manufacturing synthetic drugs in Gurugram and selling them through the dark web. They had been smuggling the drugs to different parts of the country. The accused have been produced in court in Kozhikode and remanded in custody.
