'Kiran brutally abused her till 5 am, recorded it...': Ordeal of woman who ran naked on streets in T'puram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: More details have surface in the incident where a young woman was abducted by her friend and brutally abused here. The accused Kiran forcibly took the young woman, who went to a restaurant in Kazhakoottam to have food, on a bike and beat her up at different places and later took her to a warehouse on Vettoor Road and sexually assaulted her.

According to police, on Saturday night at 11 pm, the young woman was having dinner at a bar with her colleagues. At this time, her friend Kiran texted. Kiran reached the spot and coerced the girl to pillion him on the bike. What was in store was brutal assault. He took her beside the isolated railway station bridge and thrashed her several times. The girl out of fear ran away but was caught from behind by Kiran. This time, he worked ways persuading her with threats of suicide. Falling for the trap again, the girl gave a yes nod for another ride.

Kiran took her to a deserted godown near Chanthavila where the beatings continued with more vigor. He later started assaulting, tying her up in ropes and forcing her into copulation. The sexual assault was recorded on the phone. The brutality continued unhindered till 5 am in the morning. By sheer luck, the girl escaped Kiran's eyes and ran away howling on the streets, caring less about her minimum clothes. One family was alerted by the cries and reached the road to find the victim in tears and wounds.

The girl had serious injuries all over her body and was admitted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College hospital in the city. According to the Police, Kiran was irked by the girl spending time with other male friends.
