Two women killed as coconut tree falls on bridge in Neyyattinkara

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two died tragically after a coconut tree fell on a bridge in Kunnathukal, Neyyattinkara, on Saturday. Vasantha Kumari and Chandrika, both MGNREGA workers, died in the accident. The coconut tree fell onto a bridge across a nearby stream. They were standing near the bridge when the tree fell on them.

The two seriously injured women died en route while being rushed to Karakonam Medical College Hospital. Police reached the spot and are collecting more information.
