Koipram psycho model attack: Accused fail to cooperate, more came under attack

PATHANAMTHITTA: More information surface in connection with the psycho-model assault on the youths of Koipram. The accused are not cooperating with the police investigation. The police will soon file a custody plea for the accused. The police still need to clarify why the accused committed such an attack. The statement of the victim will be taken again for this.

Five video clips were recovered from accused Reshmi's phone. These include footage of her with a native of Alappuzha. It also includes footage of attacking a 29-year-old native of Ranni. The police believe that more victims have been subjected to such assault. There are indications that footages of two more people are on the phone. Efforts are being made to open the secret folder on Jayesh's phone for information including this.

Jayesh (30) and his wife Reshmi (25) brutally torturing two youths at their house in Koipram came to light yesterday. They were arrested yesterday. A 19-year-old youth of Neelamperoor in Alappuzha and a 29-year-old native of Athikayam were honey trapped on September 1st and 5th.

The two were colleagues at Jayesh's workplace in Bengaluru. Their friendship began when the youths called Reshmi when Jayesh did not pick up the phone.

The youth from Ranni, who was abandoned on the road after the assault, informed the police about the incident from the hospital where he sought treatment. When the police took his statement, he told them that his girlfriend's father and fiancé had beaten him up. When the police evaluated the statements and questioned them, the cruelty of the couple was revealed. When the accused were questioned further, it became clear that the 19-year-old was also a victim.
