Kozhikode Medical College ICU rape case; accused attendant MM Saseendran dismissed

KOZHIKODE: The employee accused in the ICU rape case at the Kozhikode Government Medical College has been dismissed. The employee who was dismissed from his job is the attendant M M Saseendran. The order was issued by the Kozhikode Medical College Principal. The medical college administration department had recommended dismissing him. The action was based on the internal investigation report.

The victim in the rape case told the media that she was happy to have got justice. The woman stated that she had won the fight and that she had started the fight for all women, and that the principal had informed her that the steps to dismiss Saseendran had been completed.

The woman who had undergone surgery was raped by M M Saseendran in the ICU on April 2023. He was arrested. The police had filed a charge sheet against the accused. In addition, another case was registered, making five people accused of threatening the victim.
