THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a shocking incident, a man hacked his niece’ hand following a scooter parking dispute. The incident happened at Kilimanoor in the capital city. The woman identified as Sindhu (35) sustained serious injuries on her hands. She has been admitted at the medical college hospital. A case has been registered. A search has been intensified for her uncle Manikuttan (55).

The incident happened Friday morning at 6 am. Manikuttan attacked Sindhu when she was returning home after dropping her daughter at the tuition center. She will be subjected to a surgery.

Sindhu's house is 50 meters away from the road. Since she cannot park her scooter there, Sindhu parks her vehicle on the way near Manikuttan's house. The accused tried to hack her on her neck and when she resisted, hacked her on her hands. Manikuttan is Sindhu's mother's own brother. Locals say that he uses drugs and that there were issues between the two families earlier. Sindhu's husband is abroad. She has two children.
