Massive robbery in Kozhikode; bag containing Rs 40 lakh stolen from private bank employee

KOZHIKODE: A private bank employee was robbed of Rs 40 lakh in a daylight theft in Pantheeramkavu, Kozhikode, on Wednesday. The incident took place around 1 PM on the Ramanattukara–Pantheeramkavu stretch.

According to the police, the cash was stolen from Aravind, a staff member of a private bank, while he was in possession of a bag containing the money. The accused, identified as Shibin Lal, allegedly snatched the bag and sped away on a black Jupiter scooter.

The suspect was reportedly dressed in a black T-shirt at the time of the crime. Authorities have released a photograph of the suspect and intensified efforts to track him down.
