Not gold or diamonds; milk theft reported at Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple; employee arrested

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An employee who stole 25 litres of milk from the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple has been arrested. The arrested person is Assistant Store Keeper Sunil Kumar. The temple vigilance had been intensified after allegations of continuous milk theft. It was found while checking the CCTV footage it was the storekeeper who was stealing the milk.

A gold bar worth 13 sovereigns was missing from the temple in May. Two days later, the gold bar was found covered in sand. The theft of milk is coming to light after this. There are also allegations that the authorities tried to cover up the theft.
