Onam celebrations after making child sit on jeep’s bonnet; police register case after video goes viral

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A case was registered by the Kazhakootam police in the incident where a child was dangerously seated on the bonnet of an open jeep. As part of the Onam celebrations, a group of youths made the child sit on the bonnet and roamed around the Kazhakoottam area on Tuesday evening.

The police registered a case after the visuals of the adventurous journey went viral. The owner of the vehicle has been identified as a native of Attingal. However, the person who drove the jeep has not been found yet. The motor vehicle department will also file a case for modifying the vehicle.
