POCSO case against CPI leader for sexually exploiting minor girl in Alappuzha

ALAPPUZHA: A POCSO case has been registered against former CPI branch secretary for sexually exploiting a 12-year-old girl. The Nooradu police have registered a case against H Dileep (42) of Pulachadivila Vadakethil, Adikattukulangara. The incident happened on Friday. He is on the run.

Dileep had given her a lift in his car on the pretext of dropping her in school. He sexually exploited her at an isolated place. When the girl opposed, he threatened to kill her if she revealed anything and then dropped her near a bus stop. He later went for electioneering for candidates contesting the local body elections.

The girl, who reached school, told her friends and teachers about the incident. The school authorities informed the police. After recording the girl's statement, a case was registered under the leadership of sub inspector Ajith.
