KOCHI: The police and the anti-terrorism squad conducted a joint search at the house of Rejas (independent journalist from Kerala), arrested for his post against Operation Sindoor on social media. The Nagpur Police, the state anti-terrorism squad and the state police visited Rejas house in Kochi last night and conducted a search.


The Maharashtra Police collected digital evidence from his house. Pen drives, phones and books were seized. The move of the Maharashtra Police is to conduct a detailed search. The police team is continuing in Kochi.


After the Pahalgam terror attack, a move was made to organize an anti-war rally in Kochi under the leadership of Rejas. It was planned to hold it in Panampilly Nagar. However, the police intervened and took Rejas into custody. The Maharashtra Police has also collected information related to this case. Moreover, the police are also investigating his connections in Kochi. The police are examining his social media accounts and other connections in detail.


The police arrested Rejas and his friend from Nagpur the other day. His friend was released later but Rejas is in police custody. A case has been registered against Rejas under sections including sedition for posting slogans against the Indian Army.
