Texted 'hello' to gangster's girlfriend; youth brutally assaulted, suffers serious injuries

ALAPPUZHA: A youth was brutally assaulted for sending a message to a gangster's girlfriend on Instagram. The incident took place in Arookutty in Alappuzha. The victim, Jibin, was reportedly kidnapped, tied up and beaten up by the attacker. According to Jibin’s brother, Libin, the assault was carried out by gangster Prabhijith and his accomplice Sindhal. Jibin, who sustained serious injuries, has been admitted to the Vandanam Medical College Hospital in Alappuzha.

Jibin, who works at a private firm, is said to have sent a "Hello" message to a girl on Instagram the previous day, which led to the assault. The assailants intercepted him near the Arookutty bridge and started beating him. They then took him to a nearby deserted house, tied him up and continued the assault. According to Libin, the goons used a wooden log to beat Jibin on his head and body.

After the assault, the attackers left the house. When Jibin regained consciousness and noticed that the attackers had left, he managed to escape. He then called his friends and was taken to a hospital in Cherthala. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to Vandanam Medical College.

Jibin sustained severe injuries during the attack, including a broken rib cage and damage to his lungs. Scans also revealed a fractured spine, with injuries affecting vital organs. The police have initiated an investigation to find the accused.
