PATHANAMTHITTA: Accused arrested for the theft of EPOS machine from Kodumon police station. Aby John, who was arrested and brought to the same station for being drunk and causing disturbance in public place, made off with the epos machine. The suspect, a native of Elamannur, was arrested, but the missing ePOS machine could not be found.

Suspect committed the theft reminiscent of movie scenes last Friday. Aby was arrested and taken to the station for being drunk and causing a disturbance in a public place. Later, when he returned after getting bail in this case, he took the epos machine with him. The machine which was kept along with the wireless set of the police officer who was on guard duty was the one that was taken. After the machine worth Rs 20,000, which is used to print receipts in petty cases, went missing, the police started an investigation into the matter.

After searching the station, the machine was not found and the CCTV footage was checked. In the footage, it was clear that Aby was making his way out with the machine. Although he was arrested, the Kodumon police could not find the ePOS machine. The accused was produced in court and remanded.
