Wife kills husband in Kollam; husband hit on the head with a garden hoe

KOLLAM: Husband dies after being beaten by his wife. Saju (39), a resident of Vellarvattom, Kadakkal, died and his wife Priyanka was taken into police custody. According to the police, the reason for the murder was a dispute over family issues. During the fight, Priyanka hit Saju with a garden hoe.

Saju and Priyanka have been living separately for the past one year due to family issues. Earlier today Saju had reached the rented house where Priyanka, her two sons, and her mother were staying and there was an argument between the two later. During the fight, Priyanka hit Saju on the head with the garden hoe that was in the house. Reportedly, Saju was hit on the back of the head and died on the spot. It was the wife herself who called the police about the murder. Later, the police arrived and took her into custody.
