Woman beaten to death by brother in Thiruvananthapuram; accused in police custody

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a shocking incident, a young woman was beaten to death by her brother in Thiruvananthapuram. The incident took place in Mukkolakkal near Mannanthala. The deceased has been identified as Shefeena (33), a native of Pothencode. The Mannanthala police have taken her brother Shamsad into custody. According to the police, Shamsad assaulted Shefeena under the influence of alcohol. Vaishakh, who was with the accused, was also taken into police custody.
