Woman brutally burns step-children with spatula in Malappuram, complains of starving them

MALAPPURAM: A woman brutally tortured her three children with a spatula. The incident happened at Thavanur in Areekode, Malappuram. The children's parents are migrants.

The couple from Bihar has been working in Thavanur. Children aged 5, 6 and 11 were subjected to brutal torture. The woman used to heat the spatula and knife on fire and then applies it on the bodies of her stepchildren. She also used to starve them and brutally beat them at night. The police took the parents into custody on the complaint of the neighbours. The two have been remanded. The children are now under the custody of the child protection committee.
