Youth arrested for slashing two people after throwing chilli powder on face

KOCHI: A youth was arrested for slashing two people after throwing chilli powder on their faces. The incident took place at the Revenue Tower on Thursday afternoon. Pindimana Paranamkunnel Vishnu, who runs an internet cafe and Irumalpadi Kallathanamkuzhi Muhammad were hacked. The attacker has been identified as Pannekad Idapilly Suraj.

Suraj arrived at Vishnu's establishment with a knife and chilli powder in hand. The police said that Vishnu was slashed after throwing chilli powder on his face. Muhammad was also attacked when tried to stop the attack. Vishnu was admitted to a private hospital in Thodupuzha and Mohammad in Ernakulam. The people in the revenue tower from other establishments overpowered Suraj and handed him over to the police. Police said personal enmity was behind the attack. The accused was remanded.
