Youth held in Kannur for trying to enter women’s hostel at night

KANNUR: A youth who tried to barge into a women's hostel has been taken into custody. The incident happened at a hostel in Kannur's Thavakkara around 10 pm last night. The accused was taken into custody after the inmates of the hostel informed the police. The police said the youth was drunk at that time.

The youth reached the hostel last night in a jeep. He then parked the jeep outside the hostel. Some residents saw him jumping the hostel wall and then informed the warden. When the security staff arrived, he tried to escape. He was later caught and handed over to the police.
