KOCHI: Th family of Vedan alias Hirandas Murali have stepped forward alleging conspiracy against the rapper. They demanded an investigation to be conducted and the conspiracy be exposed. In the complaint given to the chief minister, the rapper’s brother suspected a political conspiracy.

The allegation is that there is an attempt to make Vedan a habitual offender and an attempt is there to silence his words through this. Vedan had also argued in the court in his anticipatory bail plea that there is a political conspiracy against him.

Meantime, rapper Vedan was arrested yesterday following interrogation in the case of allegedly raping a doctor on the promise of marriage. The arrest was registered by Thrikkakara police. The police informed that they have also received digital evidence against Vedan. The doctor's complaint against Vedan was that he had been raped five times on the promise of marriage.

Vedan was released after a medical examination as he was on anticipatory bail. As per the court's order, Vedan appeared at the Thrikkakara police station at 10 am yesterday. A questionnaire containing 100 questions had been prepared. It is learnt that Vedan denied the allegations in the complaint. Vedan refused to talk to the media about the case as it is before the court and said that he would cooperate with the investigation and would opine after the case is completely resolved.
