KOCHI: BJP leader Sobha Surendran said that if the BJP had MLAs in Kerala, the Sabarimala gold theft would not have happened. She said that people now feel that if the BJP had come to power in the state a little earlier, a lot of changes would have happened. She also clarified about the ideas that the BJP is putting forward in the assembly elections. She shared these things in an interview granted to a national media. Sobha Surendran also spoke about the allegations related to the Congress in the Sabarimala gold theft.
‘The Congress has not yet answered many questions asked by the BJP on the Sabarimala gold theft. Opposition leader V D Satheesan, who gives his opinion on everything, has not clarified this. Why did Congress leader Adoor Prakash meet senior leader Sonia Gandhi with the main accused in the case, Unnikrishnan Potty? He has not clarified what was tied to Sonia Gandhi's hand. Senior leader Ramesh Chennithala told some things to the SIT. Doesn't Satheesan know that? If the Congress is not involved in this case, why are they not answering this. Kerala will discuss all these things.
Were the gold door frames in Sabarimala sold to international thieves? If the CBI wants to come in a case with international links, the chief minister should be ready for it. Or the court should say. The government used the police and the power to take women who had no faith to Sabarimala. They got punishment for that. The people decided that they should not go to Parliament. The people also examined whether the BJP has the strength to topple them down. That is the reason why the BJP's votes reached 20 percent in many places. People are going to think differently from the political situation so far as they have understood everything.
There has been a special conspiracy around Sabarimala. The goal of both the fronts in Sabarimala is not Ayyappa. The goal of both the fronts is to make it like a tourist destination. If there were half a dozen BJP MLAs in Kerala, the gold looting would never have happened. These issues also question the credibility of the CPM. Communism is waning all over the world. People have started seeing the gap between their words and actions. This will mark the beginning of a new political future in Kerala. The BJP will come to power in Kerala at the right time.
There were discussions regarding contesting from Alappuzha in the upcoming elections. I am working for the people. Everything will happen as the party decides. CPM, Congress and BJP are the three major parties in Kerala. As for the smaller parties in the fronts, their representation is often not proportional to their actual vote base. Political realignment will happen naturally.
The BJP will reveal its strategy before the elections. It is said that the BJP has expanded its presence across Kerala, including in traditional CPM strongholds. Our aim is to win significant seats along with increasing the overall vote share, without compromising on ideology,' said Sobha Surendran.
