‘How can action be taken twice in one issue’; V D Satheesan responds on Rahul Mamkootathil’s issue

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V D Satheesan said action was once taken against Rahul Mamkootathil MLA. Satheesan said this while replying to journos questions about the new audio that emerged. He said the party leadership had taken action against Rahul then.

‘As opposition leader, it was not my decision alone. The party leadership unanimously took action against Rahul. How can we take action twice for an issue? We have already taken action against Rahul. Suspending him from the party is still in force. Two CPM leaders are in jail in the gold theft case in Sabarimala. Why is the party not taking action against them? They are accused in the theft case. No action has been taken against them yet. Why haven't you asked about that?' asked Satheesan.

A new audio of Rahul Mangkootathil forcing for an abortion had surfaced yesterday. WhatsApp chats in which Rahul asking the girl to get pregnant emerged yesterday. However, his response was that there were no answers to the questions in the audio recording released by a private channel against him. He told media that has been saying the same thing for the last three months and there is nothing new in the message that surfaced. Rahul clarified that he will cooperate with any investigation.
