THRISSUR: Union Minister Suresh Gopi said that he will not appear before the people seeking votes without laying the foundation stone for AIIMS anywhere in Kerala. He said that he will fight like a fighter. Suresh Gopi said geographically, AIIMS cannot be set up in Idukki. While speaking at the SG Coffee Times program at the Thrissur Corporation Stadium, he said that he is not only the MP of Thrissur but also the MP of the entire Kerala.
'I will not appear before you seeking votes without laying the foundation stone for AIIMS anywhere in Kerala. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's motto is Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas. For the last three years, it was Sabka Prayas Sabka Vishwas. Everyone's effort should be there in this. Development should be for everyone. The foundation stone laying ceremony will be held in a way that will benefit the entire state in AIIMS.
Idukki and Alappuzha are the most distressed. They have not come out of their misery yet. Geographically, it is not possible for AIIMS to come in Idukki. I have been talking about AIIMS since then. I have not changed my words. I am speaking for Kerala. The people of Thrissur elected me as an MP. I had said before that. I am not only working for Thrissur but for the whole of Kerala.
If Alappuzha does not get AIIMS for some reason, I will show the strength of Thrissur’s backbone. Geographically, Thrissur is the most suitable place. I will fight like a fighter. There is no change in that word. The union health minister had said that AIIMS will come to Kerala at the right time and place,' said Suresh Gopi.
