THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Changes have been made in the Annadana menu of Sabarimala, said Travancore Devaswom Board president K Jayakumar. Pulao and sambar were earlier served for the annadanam and now it has been changed to sadya, said Jayakumar while talking to the media after the Travancore Devaswom Board meet.
‘A good decision was taken in Sabarimala’s annadanam. The earlier menu had pulao and sambar for lunch. It has been decided to replace this with a Kerala Sadya, not just sadya, but one with pappadum and payasam. The money for it is not taken from the devaswom board. It is from the money given by the devotees to provide good food to Lord Ayyappa. The best sadya will be served to Lord Ayyappa using that money. The decision was taken today. It will be implemented tomorrow or the day after. The food at Pandalam will also be improved. A master plan is being prepared to improve the Sabarimala pilgrimage. A meeting will be held on December 18,' clarified Jayakumar.
