‘UDF has not announced P V Anvar as candidate’; opposition leader rejects KPCC chief

KANNUR: Opposition leader V D Satheesan has rejected KPCC president Sunny Joseph's statement that P V Anvar will be the UDF candidate in Beypore constituency. Satheesan while talking to the media said Anvar has not been officially declared as the UDF candidate and that the candidate will be announced only after the seat-sharing is completed.

The KPCC president spoke in a way that Anvar will win wherever he contests. The opposition leader said that it is not an official announcement. 'Will not compromise with communalism in any way. If the criticisms leveled against me by SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan and NSS are due to my political stance, I am happy about it. It may be a personal enmity with me. They have no hostility towards Congress or UDF. No matter who says communalism, will oppose it. Those who are secular-minded will stand by my stance,' said V D Satheesan.
