19-year-old falls from train in Kozhikode; passengers pull safety chain

KOZHIKODE: A 19-year-old woman was seriously injured after falling from the Mangalore-Coimbatore Express train. Riha (19), a native of Vadakara, fell from the train. The girl was admitted to a private hospital in Karaparamba.

The accident occurred 100 meters away from the Elathur-Pavangad railway overbridge in Kozhikode. Those who were with her said that the girl was dizzy and fell. After Riha fell from the train, passengers pulled the safety chain. The train service resumed late as it was stopped for 21 minutes.
