9.45 am - 4.15 pm: New time schedule for high school; check working Saturdays and revised timetable

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In order to ensure 1100 hours of study time for high school classes as per the Right to Education Act, the Department of General Education has issued an order fixing 15 minutes of extra school time in the morning and 15 minutes in the afternoon on weekdays except Fridays. A new timetable has been published for classes XIII, IX and X. Now the classes will be from 9.45 am to 4.15 pm. Government, aided and recognized unaided schools should follow this timetable.

Saturdays of July 26 and October 25, 2025 will be working days for the UP category and Saturdays of July 26, August 16, October 04, October 25, January 3 and January 31, 2026 will be working days for the HS category.
