PATHANAMTHITTA: Former Devaswom Board President A Padmakumar has responded to the findings of the Devaswom Vigilance that indicated a possible gold theft at Sabarimala temple. Padmakumar said that he welcomes the High Court's decision to order an investigation into the matter and declined to make further comments at this stage.
“After the Devaswom Vigilance completed its preliminary inquiry, they were unable to proceed further and that is why they submitted a report to the High Court. Based on that, a special team has now been appointed to conduct a detailed investigation. My only wish is that there should be a proper and transparent inquiry into all the issues related to Sabarimala. I fully welcome the investigation,” he said.
"I don't think it is appropriate to comment further while the probe is underway. We can talk after the investigation is completed. The truth will come out, and the real culprits will be exposed. I have no doubt about that. If anyone claims I received emails, traveled abroad, or had any other connection related to this case, let them present proof. Everything will come out in the investigation,” Padmakumar said.
