THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Human Rights Commission will consider the report of the investigation team seeking action against the officers who took R Bindu into custody in a fake theft case. DySP Vidyadharan's report demanded action against the police officers of Peroorkada station and against Omana Daniel, the owner of the house where Bindu worked as a maid. Bindu was kept in illegal custody by the Peroorkada police for 20 hours on the complaint of Omana Daniel. The special team conducted an investigation and submitted a report on the directions of the Human Rights Commission. The report is being considered by the commission chairman Justice Alexander Thomas.

Meantime, the crime branch report was released the other day, giving a new twist in the fake theft case. The crime branch found that the chain was not stolen from the house in Peroorkada and the police had fabricated a false story to trap the maid Bindu.

Omana Daniel, the owner of the house, who has memory loss mistakenly kept the chain under the sofa in her own house. The report also said that the chain was later found by Omana herself. She had informed the police about this. The crime branch also found the police' claim that the chain was found from the garbage was wrong. The report also sought action against Peroorkada SHO Sivakumar and Omana Daniel.
