VITHURA: This year’s Agasthyarkoodam pilgrimage, set to engulf the Bonacaud hills in divine spirit, will begin on Wednesday. The first phase of the two-phase pilgrimage will be held from tomorrow to the 31st, and the second phase from February 1 to 11. The registration process for the first phase has been completed. Entry is allowed online. Booking for the second phase of the pilgrimage will begin at 11 am on the 23rd, informed District Wildlife Warden Vinod. S.V.
Pilgrims will be accompanied by guides. Cooking food, using alcohol, tobacco, or collecting medicinal plants is not allowed inside the forest. Visitors must follow the instructions of the forest guards. Visitors must also produce a fitness certificate. Pilgrims should be vigilant due to an increase in the number of wild elephants and bisons in the Bonacaud forest area. The forest guards have not considered the request to allow more people to visit this year. Agasthyarkoodam is the second-highest peak in Kerala.
