Asif Ali to campaign for Pisharody in Palakkad if invited

KOCHI: Actor Asif Ali said that he will campaign for actor Ramesh Pisharody, the Congress candidate from Palakkad, if he is invited. He added that all his dreams are in films and that he has no interest in becoming a candidate. He said that he has full faith in Pisharody's capabilities. He clarified that everyone should ensure that their names are in the voters list.

Pisharody has not invited me for election campaigning. If he invites me, I’ll definitely go as I personally know him very well. Everyone should check if their names are in the voters list. One has no right to blame a political party or a leader without casting votes. One has the freedom to do so only after exercising one's right to vote,’ said Asif Ali.

Asif Ali also spoke about the joy on the festival day. 'After 30 days of fasting, the whole family has come together. Today is a day of joy. I usually go to my hometown Thodupuzha for every festival. However, this time for a change I am in Ernakulam. We should celebrate all the festivals together without any caste or political differences. Let that habit always continue. Let it be in everyone's mind,' he said.
