THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Motor Vehicles Department brought changes to the Learner's Online Test. The changes will come into effect from the first of next month. The number of questions has been increased to 30. The time to answer a question has also been increased to 30 seconds. Earlier, there were 20 questions, with each given 15 seconds to answer. Out of the thirty questions, 18 have to be answered correctly.
The new MVD Leads mobile app will have the exam syllabus. Those who wish to take the practice exam will have the facility to do so in the app. The Transport Department is also considering giving a road safety certificate to those who pass the mock tests in the app. There are also plans to cut short the mandatory pre-driver's class for all those certificate holders.
Students who download this app can also avail the facility of getting concessions in KSRTC and private buses. Driving school instructors will have to pass the MVD Leads app exam. If not, the licenses will not be renewed.
In addition, all the officials of the department will have to pass the road safety certificate exam. Recently, the Motor Vehicles Department implemented major reforms, including in the driving test.
