
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The verdict in the anticipatory bail application in the second case against Rahul Mamkootathil will come out on Wednesday. The court directed that no police action should be taken against Rahul until the final verdict is issued on the anticipatory bail application on December 10. The order is from the Thiruvananthapuram Vanchiyoor Sessions Court, where Rahul filed a petition against the assault complaint of a 23-year-old woman.
The court's order came after hearing detailed arguments in the petition. Rahul's lawyers requested that the arrest be stayed until the order is issued. The court did not accept this request. However, the court ordered that no coercive action be taken.
Rahul Mamkootathil filed an anticipatory bail application in the Thiruvananthapuram District Sessions Court in the second case, immediately after the High Court stayed his arrest in another sexual assault case. Immediately after the High Court's order arrived, advocate Sasthamangalam Ajithkumar filed an anticipatory bail application in the second case in the Thiruvananthapuram District Sessions Court.
Meanwhile, the complainant in the second sexual assault case against MLA Rahul Mamkootathil gave her statement. The statement was recorded by SP G Poonguzhali. The complainant stated that she was forced into copulation even after she begged to stop torturing her. The complainant said she was threatened several times and had a tough time coming out of the mental trauma the incident inflicted upon her.
