PALAKKAD: Bodies of missing policemen found in Attapadi. The bodies of Murugan and Kakan, officers of the Puthoor police station, were found. Both had gone to their native place four days ago.

They had to cross the river to reach the village. Colleagues did not know if Murugan had reached home as the range of mobile phones in the village was low. Murugan went home for a three-day vacation. But when Murugan did not return even after the vacation, the police and the forest department were investigating.

Their dead bodies were found from two places. It has been raining heavily in Attapadi for the past few days. The river had overflowed. It is suspected that the policemen were drowned in the water. Meanwhile, there are reports that the intensity of rain is decreasing in the state. But waterlogging is severe in many places. Many people are staying in relief camps.
