Body of woman with hands tied washes ashore in Veli beach; probe begins

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A body of a woman was washed ashore at the Veli beach. Her hands were found tied together with a cloth. The Thumba police said the body belongs to a woman who appears to be 40-50 years old.

Seeing a body floating in the sea near Veli Church this morning, the fishermen informed the police. The body was then fished out, completed the inquest proceedings and was shifted to the mortuary of the medical college hospital. The Thumba police said they will investigate whether someone killed her and then threw the body into the sea.
