
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police suo motu registered a case over a viral altercation that took place between a woman and her boyfriend on Manaveeyam Veedhi in the capital. The Museum police registered a case after a video went viral on social media. A soldier, a native of Nedumangad and his girlfriend, a native of Ernakulam, clashed physically in front of the public in the busy cultural hub of the capital city.

The two first met at Manaveeyam Veedhi and then became friends. This developed into an affair, and the two started dating. However, the woman came to know that the Nedumangad native was cheating her with another woman. They both got drunk before discussing the matter and decided to settle scores at the same place where everything started. However, they both confirmed having no complaints about the issue to the police. After the video went viral, the Museum Police registered a case against them.
The footage of the fight on the road went viral. In the video, the crowd gathered can be heard encouraging the duo to fight more. However, when police intervened, the duo said they did it for fun, and it was not serious.
