'Boyfriend panicked after video message'; 18-year-old girl ends life in Thrissur

THRISSUR: An 18-year-old girl, who attempted suicide over a tiff with her boyfriend, died while undergoing treatment in Thrissur on Wednesday. The incident took place on July 25 in Kaipamangalam.

On the day, the victim tried reaching her boyfriend on the phone, but the call was left unattended. Frustrated over the phone calls getting ignored, she made a video call with the person and informed him that she would commit suicide.

The friend then immediately rushed to her house and informed her parents of the incident. When barged inside the room, she was found hanging from the fan. She was immediately shifted to the hospital. Kaipamangalam police registered a case of unnatural death in the incident.
