THRISSUR: Police registered a case against artist Jasna Salim for violating the High Court order at the Guruvayur temple. Charges, including an attempt to riot, have been invoked against Jasna. In the FIR, it states that Jasna garlanded the lord Krishna idol in Guruvayur's East Side and took a video.

Last month, a video of Jasna Salim garlanding the Krishna idol on the eastern side of the temple was circulated on social media. The Devaswom Board itself filed a complaint against this. Based on this complaint, the police registered a case.

Earlier, there was a controversy over the cake-cutting ceremony of Jasna at the Nadapanthal in Guruvayur for her birthday. Controversy erupted over the incident, and some even approached the High Court against the young woman.

After receiving the petition, the High Court imposed restrictions on videography in the Guruvayur temple premises. The court had clarified that videography should not be allowed on the premises except for religious ceremonies and weddings. Restrictions were also imposed on vloggers accompanying celebrities. The court also clarified that videography should not be allowed.

Jasna gained popularity for her Lord Krishna paintings and received nationwide attention when she gifted one of her Krishna paintings to PM Modi.
