MALAPPURAM: A family has come forward complaining that the school authorities failed to inform them about their daughter of class one being hit by a car. The accident occurred on July 31 at the MES Central School at Tirur in Malappuram. CCTV footage of the incident has been released by a media.

The child was hit by an Innova car that had entered the school compound. This was witnessed by some parents, teachers and security personnel. The CCTV footage released shows them rushing and picking the child up.

When they realized that the child was not seriously injured, no one took it seriously. The parents were informed that the child had fallen in the school. It is reported that the child is in severe mental pain after the accident.

The parents said the child was not taken to the hospital after the accident and was sent home in an auto as usual. However, the parents became suspicious after seeing some marks on her body and asked her about it. The child told them about the car hitting her.

Meantime, school principal Madhusudhanan told a media that everyone was of the opinion that the child had not been hit by the car. He added that everyone told him that the child had fallen down after seeing the car and the girl also failed to inform him. The Tirur police have launched an investigation into the incident.
