KOCHI: Director Lijo Jose Pellissery has withdrawn the Facebook post connected to Churuli film controversy. He withdrew the post against actor Joju George. A dispute broke out between the two in connection with the remuneration for acting in Churuli.

Pellissery shared the post along with the remuneration paid to Joju George for his three-day cameo role in the film. The actor was paid more than Rs 5 lakh. In the post withdrawn, Pellissery said that this explanation is after taking into account the mental distress caused to his friends, the producers.

Joju had responded to this post. Joju said that he had faced difficulties acting in the film Churuli and that if he had known that it was a non-festival film, he wouldn’t have acted in Churuli.
