KOCHI: Actor Unni Mukundan has filed an anticipatory bail application in the case of assaulting his manager. The petition was filed in the Ernakulam District Court. Unni Mukundan says in the petition that the complaint against him is a false complaint that is part of a planned conspiracy. The complaint filed by manager Vipin Kumar will also be examined in detail by the film employees' organization FEFKA.
Meanwhile, the police say that there is no evidence in the complaint filed by Vipin Kumar alleging that Unni Mukundan assaulted him. The Infopark police had examined the CCTV footage of the flat. Crucial information was obtained from this. The video shows Unni Mukundan and Vipin talking and both arguing. Unni Mukundan is seen breaking eyeglasses in the footage. However, the assault is not on the CCTV footage.
Vipin Kumar filed a complaint against Unni Mukundan the other day. The police registered a case against the actor after recording his detailed statement. The complainant has been working with Unni Mukundan for the past several years. Vipin Kumar had filed a complaint with the Infopark police alleging that he was beaten up for posting a note praising the movie Narivetta. The FIR states that the actor threatened to kill manager Vipin Kumar and slapped him. However, Unni Mukundan had responded by saying that he did not assault Vipin and that it was true that he broke the eyeglasses.
