Controversial remarks against Minister Abdurahiman: Police register case against Fr Theodosius

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police have registered a case against Vizhinjam strike committee convenor Fr. Theodosius for his controversial remarks against Minister Abdurahiman. The Vizhinjam police booked him under the charges of attempt to incite religious hatred and attempt to create communal conflict. Fr Theodosius and the Latin Archdiocese had earlier expressed regret at the controversial remark.

Fr Theodosius made the controversial remark against the minister on Tuesday. With the incident turning into a controversy, Fr Theodosius said that the remark was the result of emotional outbursts and was a slip of the tongue. He expressed his regret for inciting strife between the two communities. With the priest expressing his regret, the Archdiocese urged that the controversy should be put to an end.
