THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A crucial meeting was held at Cliff House amidst the controversy surrounding ADGP Ajith Kumar. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who is in charge of the home department, met the state DGP. The meeting lasted for an hour and a half. It is learnt that DGP Sheikh Darvesh Sahib has apprised the Chief Minister of the details of the investigation against the ADGP. The Chief Minister also summoned Crime Branch ADGP H Venkatesh to Cliff House.

It is to be noted that the meeting came after the Special Branch report revealed that ADGP MR Ajith Kumar had not only met RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale but also RSS leader Ram Madhav. There is a strong demand to remove Ajith Kumar.

According to the special branch report, the ADGP met Ram Madhav, who is also a former general secretary of the BJP, twice. It is also reported that the meeting was held at a hotel in Kovalam.

The ADGP met Ram Madhav twice. It is not clear what the purpose of the meeting was. The report also mentioned that Ajith Kumar was active in Thrissur and Guruvayur in affairs related to the marriage of Suresh Gopi's daughter. Left MLA PV Anvar had alleged that Mr Ajith Kumar had spoiled Thrissur Pooram to make Suresh Gopi win the Lok Sabha elections.

Mr Ajith Kumar, the ADGP in charge of law and order in the state, skipped the official vehicle and reached the spot in a car driven by the Vijnana Bharati office-bearer himself to meet Hosabale.
