KOCHI: The Kerala High Court has rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Sukanth Suresh of Edappal in Malappuram, accused in the death of IB officer. The action was taken by a bench of Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas. The court observed that the accused had a clear influence on the IB officer. The court also pointed out that there are circumstances to suspect that the accused had financially, mentally and physically abused the girl. The evidence before the court is against the accused. The court said there is a situation where the accused should be taken into custody and questioned.
Meantime, the defense lawyer informed the court that the chats of the accused with the IB officer were leaked from the police. The single bench responded that it will have to be assumed that they were leaked from the police. The government informed the court that it would investigate how the chats were leaked.
The police had recovered the Telegram chat which proves that the accused was the one who drove the IB officer to commit suicide. To Sukanth's repeated question when you will die, the woman replied on August 9. The two chatted on February 9 and after that they did not chat.

Although the chats had taken place before, they were all from when they were friends. Sukanth deleted the chat but did not change the app. The police recovered the chat from this.
