'Defrauded another Malayali student in Ukraine, dropped MBBS halfway'; more about Instagram star Karthika

KOCHI: As per new reports, Dr Karthika Pradeep (25), the owner of an education consultancy arrested in a job fraud case has not completed her MBBS studies. As per police findings, Karthika returned to India from Ukraine halfway through her studies after getting caught in a case of siphoning money from a fellow Malayali student.

It was using her fake doctor identity that Karthika had been extorting money from jobseekers in Kerala. Police have announced that cases have been registered against Karthika in ten state districts for cheating over a hundred people and defrauding them of crores of rupees.

The other day, the Ernakulam Central Police from Kozhikode arrested Karthika on the complaint of a Thrissur native. Karthika siphoned Rs 5.23 lakh from this woman with the fake promise of a job in the UK. In total, she siphoned almost Rs eight lakh rupees from jobseekers in Kerala. Karthika led an extravagant lifestyle with all this money.

Police also found that Karthika’s ‘Take Off Overseas Education Consultancy’ functioned without a license.
