Dog jumps in front of autorickshaw; Class 6 student dies in front of parents in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a tragic incident, an 11-year-old girl died after an autorickshaw lost control and overturned when a dog jumped in front of it. The deceased has been identified as Sakhi, a native of Mampally, Anthuthengu. She was a Class 6 student of SSPB High School, Kadakkavoor.

The child was returning home from school with her parents in an autorickshaw when the accident occurred. According to sources, the vehicle overturned near Canara Bank in Kadakkavoor after the stray dog leapt across the road. The child, who sustained serious injuries, was rushed to the Medical College. However, she succumbed to her injuries before reaching the hospital. The child's parents also suffered injuries in the accident.
