THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Vizhinjam Port, Kerala's pride project, will be dedicated to the nation in a short time. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Vizhinjam for it. Modi reached Pangode Military Camp from Raj Bhavan and left for Vizhinjam by helicopter. Thousands of people have reached Vizhinjam to witness the dream moment.
After the commissioning ceremony at 11 am, the Prime Minister will speak from 11.15 am to 12 pm. The chief minister has been given five minutes and Minister Vasavan three minutes to speak. Ministers and prominent figures from the political and cultural fields have arrived to attend the ceremony.
A special KSRTC service is being operated from Thiruvananthapuram city to Vizhinjam. The public was admitted to the ceremony from 9.30 am. Heavy security has been arranged in the city in the wake of the constant fake bomb threats.
The Prime Minister, who reached Thiruvananthapuram at around 7:30 pm last night, was received by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, chief secretary Jayathilak, Shashi Tharoor MP, and BJP state leaders. The Prime Minister will return at 12.30 pm after the function in Vizhinjam today.
In the wake of the Pahalgam attack, tight security has been arranged in the city. Traffic control has been imposed in the city and adjoining roads.
