Drunk driver crashes car into house in Kottayam, arrested

KOTTAYAM: A young man intoxicated with alcohol crashed his car into a house on the roadside in Kottayam. The incident took place at Panayampala. Karukachal, in Kottayam, around 11:30 last night. The vehicle was driven by Prino Philip, a native of Mallappally, Pathanamthitta.

Prino crashed his car into a house where an elderly woman lives alone. The speeding car crashed through the gate and then went ahead to crash into the wall and come to a stop. Hearing the commotion, the neighbours rushed to the spot. After they informed, the police who reached the spot took Prino Philip into custody. Later, an arrest was registered, and he was released on bail. The police said that a report will be submitted to the RTO to cancel his license. No one was injured in the incident.
