E P Jayarajan’s biography controversy; former publication head of DC Books arrested

KOTTAYAM: A V Sreekumar, former publication head of DC Books, has been arrested in the name of leaking a draft of the autobiography of former LDF convenor and CPM central committee member E P Jayarajan. His arrest was registered by Kottayam East Police.

He was arrested after finding that the draft of the autobiography titled ‘Black Tea and Parippu Vada – Life of a Communist’ was leaked from him. He was released on station bail after recording his arrest.

The police had earlier registered a case against DC Books in the incident of circulating the PDF file even before it was published. The case was filed making Sreekumar, former publication manager of DC Books, the first accused.

ADGP in charge of law and order had directed Kottayam district police chief to register a case in the incident. DC Books had earlier suspended A V Sreekumar following the controversy.
