Earthquake at Kozhikode: People within one kilometer radius report tremors

KOZHIKODE: Locals said that a slight earthquake was felt in Kozhikode district. The earthquake occurred at 4.45 pm in Muthukad of Chakkittapara panchayat. In the evening, there was a sound and a slight tremor from underground. The locals said that the shaking lasted only for seconds.

The sound and slight shake were felt by those in the Muthukad second block area. It is heard that people within a radius of one kilometer experienced the same. Panchayat authorities are investigating the incident after locals reported it.
