Enjoy Onam Sadya anywhere in the country: Kudumbashree coming up with 50,000 festive kits

KOLLAM: No matter where you are across the nation, Kudumbashree is set to bring the spirit of Onam to your doorstep — with 50,000 festive kits crafted to elevate your celebrations to a grand spectacle! Each kit, worth Rs 1,000, will include products like Palada mix, Semiya Payasam mix, banana chips, sharkaravaratti (jaggery-coated banana chips), chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala — all produced by Kudumbashree entrepreneurs.

The kits will be sold through Kudumbashree's online platform, PocketMart. Once an order is placed, the kit will be delivered to any address within India. Kits will also be available at Kudumbashree's Onam marketing fairs. Product quality will be monitored regularly.

In the initial phase, PocketMart will offer 500 products online, which will soon expand to 1,000. Agreements have been signed with a leading logistics company for delivery and with Federal Bank for online payment services. Pickup points will be set up in every district to make products available to entrepreneurs. The logistics company will collect items from these centres and deliver them to customers.
